The piano lessons fees are determined by the following factors
1. Experience and qualifications of the piano teacher.
2. Whether the lessons are held at the teacher’s home or at the student’s home. Due to the transport cost and travelling time, the fees for having lessons at the student’s home will be higher.
3. The playing level of the student, which in Singapore is dependent on the highest ABRSM or Trinity grade obtained by the student. Higher level students with more complex exam pieces will require more attention from the teacher.
4. The number of related students taught. Parents who send two or more siblings to a single teacher can usually expect a preferential rates from the teacher.
5. To a certain extent the time of the lessons. Some piano teachers in Singapore charge less for off-peak hours which is during office hours to attract more students.
